This is what it looked like on my way to work today. Cars in the ditch, back end of the truck sliding around - feels like January. This was actually the good part of the commute - a little further on it was a complete white out and I needed both hands on the steering wheel to stay on the road. However, the weather forecast is for 12 deg C and sunny this Saturday. If that really happens it will be ideal weather for this time of year. Keep your fingers crossed.

I sure hope that won't be the weather for your 200k!
Thanks!
It won't be. The organizers have said the event will be canceled in the event of snow. Rain, sleet & general miserableness would be okay though...=-)
I am holding out for sunny and cool to warm.
If it makes you feel better, I had steady rain and 12C for my first brevet, and still enjoyed it. I know you're prepared, and now its time to put it all into play. Look forward to your report !
eeww that does not look nice at all,,,,,, good luck on you first 200K we be cheering for ya
Good Luck...
Fenders and toasty toes may be a nice addition to your kit...
Thanks! Got the fenders permanently mounted on my bent and I am going to wear gore-tex shoe covers to start with. Should keep my feet warm enough until the sun does its magic!
So if you get the Taifun, are you going to ride it on Brevets in the rain. :-). I saw Franknspeed ride that Blue Jester in 2002 in your favourite hockey player's home town of Brantford. As a matter of fact I was getting out of my van and said to the family, we are late we missed it. And Frank got out and said you have not see me race yet, on Gretzky Blvd. Just a little name dropping, to show you what kind of conversation you missed when we did not connect in Ottawa.

hahah....B don't rub it in. Next time I am in Ottawa you can totally buy me beers all night and regal me with tales of recumbent celebrity encounters...=-)
