Anna's lovely cherry red LHT awaits her rider after a winter tune up. When you've got a complete selection of tools, supplies and a little bike maintenance knowledge you can really help out your friends who don't spend all their time obsessing about bikes. The whole tune up took me a couple hours and was fun. Heck I got to play with a new bike and I didn't have to buy it!....=-) I guess Anna did me the favour.

Vik, remember my post about my LHT or Riv Atlantis decision? I decided to go with a LHT, easier on the pocket book. I bought one in the Dark Cherry Pearl just like this one. I bought it from a shop in Minneapolis. Its ready, but it will be a couple of weeks before I can get down there to pick it up. I'm pretty excited!!
Drat. I need bike maintenance friends to live closer to me :)
Hey Doug - that's great I have to say my LHT has really won me over as a great bike. Fast, comfortable, easy to ride and it can haul a lot of stuff. At the moment if I had to downsize [God forbid!] to one bike, I'd keep my LHT as I can do just about all my riding with it. The red is quite a nice colour - looks awesome with a honey coloured Brooks saddle. Is your LHT a 700c or 26" version? It isn't as fancy as the Riv, but honestly in a blind taste test you might well prefer riding the Surly.
Tanya - I'll make you a deal. You get a recumbent and next time I'm in TO I'll help you set it up...=-)
Hey Tanya - I changed my mind here is the new deal! If you put at least 1 new post on your blog every week between now and my next visit to TO I'll fix up one of your bikes.
Vik...I'm short, I get to have the 26" version.
I think the 26" wheeled LHTs are the perfect touring bike. You can go anywhere in the world and find spare parts - plus the bike itself doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Enjoy your new ride!
Heh yeah I've been delinquint on blog posts! But sounds like a good deal to me :)
