This is my second BOB and I've had one for 8 years at least. They work well for light to moderate loads. You can carry very heavy loads, but your handling will be crappy.
It is definitely a nice way to quickly expand the usefulness of a bike. You just need to add the BOB QR mount [2 mins] and hook up the trailer [1 min] - then go!
I would like to try a 2 wheeled trailer like a Burley Nomad, but I haven't had a chance yet.
