Toronto Cyclist Assaulted...
...by road raging motorist. BUT, some school kids caught the whole thing on tape. Sweet! Click on the pic above to read more and see the video. Should be a slam dunk for the judge.
you would think it would be a slam dunk but I doubt it , the don't really charge drivers that kill cyclists or peds up here nor do they put drunk drivers in jail, the cops arrest them and the courts let them off with little charges
I think it's great that cyclist said he was going to pray for the guy who attacked him. What a way to turn the situation around. He's setting a great example for other cyclists, and people in general, who end up in these violent situations. I hope I can remember that next time I feel like strangling an inconsiderate driver.
And what about the fact that the assailant was/is an off duty Police Officer. He has been under suspension since 2004, according to Toronto Police info.. http://www.torontopolice.on.ca/newsreleases/pdfs/11855.pdf
I never really get bothered except by drunks and the odd yuppie that shout sh*t about my bent, oh there was that cab driver that did try to run me off the road that I did chase down and got a picture of him and the plates but I never got any justice or help from the city
